Annual Food Drive, October 1-15
Please contribute to FAN’s Annual Fall Food Drive to benefit the Food Pantry operated by the Woburn Council of Social Concern. What are we collecting? Canned and dried goods, and suggested foods include canned meat, fruits and vegetables, rice/rice mixes, pasta, spaghetti sauce, powdered milk, cereal and peanut butter. Drop off donations at the Wednesday FAN weekly playgroup, at the FAN in-home playgroups, the Winchester Farmers Market at the Farmers Market table, and at Bookends. Each month the Food Pantry serves more than 300 families and individuals from Winchester, Woburn, and surrounding towns in Middlesex County. Your contributions are GREATLY appreciated! Thank you.
Girls Night ‘In’ & Costume Swap, October 8 7:30 p.m.
Need a night away from the kids? Let’s get together over light appetizers and drinks to catch up and celebrate the fall with new friends and old at a FAN member’s home. Expecting a Baby? Shower for New Moms!, October 15, 9:30 - 11:30 am (Siblings welcome)
Whether this is your first or fifth child, we hope you will join us as we celebrate you and your little one at FAN’s Annual Fall Arrivals Baby Shower. We will have yummy treats and beverages and an opportunity to meet other expectant and new mothers, FAN members please R.S.V.P. on Big Tent, our members-only web site. Not a FAN member yet? FAN’s primary fundraiser is FANSplash...a project that will revitalize Winchester’s Borggaard Beach with a Splash Park and much more. FAN is teaming up with the Winchester Artists Network to commemorate the revitalization efforts by selling personalized tiles to decorate the beach’s bathhouse walls. Tiles are on sale for residents. Halloween Parade, Party, & Trick-or-Treating, October 31 at 10 a.m.
Winchester Town Common/Center
Dress up your little goblins and fairies for a parade on the common. We’ll then trick-or-treat
