Art Teacher: Sophie Rosenberg

Dear Lynch School Families,
Hello! My name is Sophie Rosenberg and I am thrilled to introduce myself as your child’s new Art teacher. I will be solely devoted to the Lynch school and its students and will not be traveling to other schools within the district as some teachers have done in the past. This is an exciting change, as I will have the opportunity to be a consistent part of your child’s school experience. I look forward to getting to know your budding artist and beginning this year’s artful adventures.

A bit about myself: I earned both my Bachelors of Fine Arts and Masters of Arts in Teaching in Art Education from Tufts University in affiliation with The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. I interned as an assistant Art teacher in a public elementary school in Newton, MA as part of my undergraduate studies, and at two public elementary schools in Revere, MA for my graduate studies. I was very fortunate to have been trained by extremely talented and dedicated Art teachers. These internship experiences have informed and inspired my teaching practice.

Art has always been a large part of my life, and I have had the opportunity to study under many gifted artists in a variety of media. My own body of work includes ceramics, drawings and mono-prints, as well as mixed media work. I am extremely excited to share my knowledge of and passion for the arts with the students of The Lynch School. I can’t wait to see all of the wonderful work that will be created in Art class this year!

Please feel free to stop into the Art room and introduce yourself or contact me by email with any questions or suggestions you may have. Also, please keep an eye out for updates from me regarding what your child is learning and creating in Art class.

Here’s to a healthy, productive and fun school year!
Ms. Rosenberg
