Donate to LPA
Lynch's Direct Appeal campaign is the primary source of funding for school-wide enrichment activities at Lynch. The money raised is used by the Lynch Parents Association (LPA) for the benefit of every child in our school. This year's goal is $25,000.
No donation is too small or too large because it benefits all of our students. Our goal is to have every family participate in this year’s Direct Appeal campaign. While the suggested donation is $100 per child, we encourage you to donate what works for your family. Truly, every and any amount is much appreciated.
Please remember that many companies offer a matching gift program, so please check https://lynchschool.com/matching-companies to find out whether your employer will match your donation to Lynch, or inquire with your HR department.
The earlier we collect money for Direct Appeal, the better we will be able to plan and sponsor enrichment programs for the year.
Here are SOME of the amazing things Lynch is able to do thanks to your contributions:
Welcome to Lynch Popsicle Party (for incoming kindergartners and new-to-Lynch families)
Welcome Back BBQ
Field Trips - all grades at Lynch have two field trips per year sponsored by the LPA
Teacher’s grants to improve their classrooms and enhance the learning centers
Lynch Drama Club
A Kids’ View (free spring publication to all Lynch families)
Book Fair
Halloween Party
International Festival
Science & Engineering Fair
Family Game Night
Extended Learning Program (ELP)

Financial aid/scholarships to students, as needed, for enrichment, events and more - no student is denied an experience at Lynch due to financial hardship
Financial support for community organizations: Authorfest, Trivia Bee, FAN (Family Action Network), and WIN-PAC (Winchester Special Education Parent Advisory Council)
Each year the Lynch Parents Association advances its mission of promoting and supporting the goals of the school and providing an environment in the community that will stimulate and enhance the academic and social development of our children. So, in addition to the programs and activities listed above, the majority of funds raised this year also supported ALL grade-level enrichment activities and field trips.
Every student participates in grade-level enrichment programs funded by your direct appeal donation. Here is a sampling of the enriching experiences we are able to offer with your support:

FAQs

Each school in town must raise funds for programs, equipment and events that will enrich the education of its enrollees. At Lynch, the Lynch Parent's Association (LPA) was founded to coordinate these services and activities. LPA is funded by money received from individual donors, by money collected at revenue generating events and through charitable donations from corporate entities. No money is given to LPA by the School District or the Town.
-
Last year, the LPA hosted over 20 different enrichment programs, at least two events or activities per grade. The LPA also organizes Lynch’s Extended Learning Program (ELP), which offers before and after school classes in 3 sessions. The LPA underwrites much of the costs, such as instructor pay and materials fees, to keep the tuition charges low, allowing every child to participate. The quality of the student experience at Lynch would not be the same without LPA sponsored activities like Field Day and International Night.

Every campaign needs a goal and the request for $100 is designed to help us reach ours. It is also consistent with what other elementary schools in the district request from their families. First and foremost, Direct Appeal is focused on getting every family to participate by making a donation in whatever amount they are able. Every dollar counts, so don’t forget to check whether your employer matches donations.
-
Direct Appeal collects funds all year long, but the earlier money is collected, the faster we can put it to use. Still, if there is a particular time of year when it is easier for you to give, make a donation then. If your household finances only allow donations in smaller amounts, donate whenever you feel comfortable doing so. No donation is too small or too large!
-
Direct Appeal can also use non-monetary gifts, such as gift certificates, sports or theatre tickets, for your child’s benefit. Your gift may be put to use aiding curriculum within the school, it may be used as a raffle prize to promote even more donations, or it may even be auctioned off for an even greater benefit to the campaign.
